GLAC 22 will take place in three buildings on the University of Iceland campus:
(1) Árnagarður: Conference registration, five parallel sessions, and coffee breaks.
(2) Tröð (connected to Háskólatorg): Poster session and book exhibit.
(3) Háskólatorg: Plenary lectures and lunch.
Wireless network — eduroam
The University of Iceland has the eduroam roaming access service in all its facilities. If you already have an eduroam connection at your home institution, you can connect to the eduroam network at the University of Iceland. See instructions here. Those not with eduroam access from their home institution will also be granted access to the wireless network. Further information will be available at the conference registration desk.
The sessions will take place in Árnagarður Building. All rooms are equipped with a PC computer (running Windows 7 Enterprise) with audio capabilities, a screen and a projector. Presenters will not be able to connect their own devices to the projector, but instead they should bring their slides on a USB drive (thumb drive, flash drive) and load onto the computer prior to the session. It is important to do this before the session starts. Assistance in loading presentations onto the computers will be provided.
Slides on pdf are recommended to ensure that fonts and formatting remain intact.
Each presenter is allotted 30 minutes which ideally should be divided into 20-minute presentation and 10-minute discussion. It is imperative that speakers honor the 30-minute time limit.
Poster presenters should bring their posters to the conference registration on Friday morning where they will get assistance in hanging up the posters in Tröð. The poster session is on Saturday 11.30-12.00, but the posters will be hanging in Tröð for the duration of the conference.
